Movie Recap:
Dave Lizewski is your everyday average teenager who ponders why hasn’t anybody ever tried to be a superhero like the ones in the comic books. Dave decides to become a real-life superhero, even though he has no superpowers himself and or martial arts training. In his first try to fight crime, Dave is stabbed and then  hit by a car. Most of Dave’s nerve endings are damaged. Resulting in giving him an unhuman capacity to endure pain. The metal plates placed in his skeleton also help support his bones. After a painful recovery, Dave returns to school. He finds out that his longtime crush, Katie Deauxma wants to meet up and hung out. She only wants to hang out because she thinks he is gay. Dave, thankful for any contact with his crush goes along with this; just to spend time with her.

Dave recovers his courage and starts to patrol the streets again. This time he comes upon a gang fight and defends the single victim from his attackers. A bystander records the fight and sends the video to YouTube . It becomes a phenomenon, and Dave sets up a MySpace account so people can contact Kick-Ass.
